The Brooklyn Art Library
We’re tired of artwork sitting in artists’ closets collecting dust. The Library is a place where artwork can mingle with other artwork, see the light of day, and know the joys of fingers flipping through their pages again.
The Library isn’t the champagne room.
Anyone can be a part of the library by participating in one of our projects.
A permanent collection
We're working to build up a collection of artist books. We just opened, so we're still in the process of cataloging them all. However, just with the books from our last Sketchbook Project, we have 1,148 books in the collection.
Each book is barcoded, cataloged and assigned a home inside of The Library.
How to be a part of the library
At Art House, there are always projects going on. To get involved, simply head to our projects page and find the ones that interest you. Then, just like you’re shopping online, simply add the project to your cart. Voilà!
If the project involves you needing materials, like canvas or a sketchbook, we’ll ship them out to you as quick as we get your order. If no materials are needed, then you can get to work immediately!
