project: The Sketchbook Project: 2011

 

I am a ceramic artist, living in the San Francisco Bay Area, who finds beauty in the ordinary, the mundane and the unexpected. I try to capture this beauty in quick, a la minute sketches. I am strongly influenced by wabi-sabi, the beauty of things imperfect, impermanent and incomplete. This sketchbook is a daily sketch of something that captured my attention because of its unexpected beauty.
