Hi Alice,

I checked out your website and watched your tutorial on the business card cases. Thanks for sharing. Maybe someday I will try that out. It looks like a lot of fun!

I really got into the Mandalas. Have set up two Mandala Galeries at my poetry site,
http://soulsmusic.wordpress.com/
and used some of them, married with bits of poetry for Christmas gifts. Am thinking I might do a lot more of that, but glad to get back to my own sketchbooks now. Also want to try my hand at some of the other projects here.

My theme was My Life In A Yellow Submarine. I made the subtitle How I Became A Porthole Cover Designer, and the cover story can be read on my page if you click on the two printed out pages. I had been trying my hand at free-hand Mandalas and the circles made sense that way. At least they did to me, lol.

Next time I hope to give myself far more time, instead of trying to complete the project, care for my Mother, and make Christmas gifts all at the same time.

Thanks for the add. I cheated a bit on the Sketchbook. The theme sort of threw me, so I did my thing and then created a fictional cover story to explain the diversion and pasted it on the first couple of pages. I believe fiction is an art form as well. I learned a great deal simply by doing the project and I loved the inspiration I found in the experience.

I love your dictionary page. I only got in on the tail-end of the Sketchbook Project as well and had lots of doubts, but kept plugging away at it. Had a hard time believing I actually finished.

I see that you do polymer clay.  I would LOVE to give this a try but I am not a 3D artists.  Any tips for a newbie to get started?  Small steps, lessons and tips?

Thank you for your kind comments on my sketchbook. How to save the world...The things that pops to mind is a little girl trying to gently catch a bubble that she blew that is the world.

Try to get it done!  It sounds like an interesting project!

Alice, the date has been pushed to January now, did you know?  I also have the same topic as you.....no small subject!  I love your drawings....full of life!

I just received my journal today, Nov. 16, 2009. It's due by December 1, yikes!! I'm not sure I can pull it off. But I'm going to try.
