Almost retired--No formal art training but now a little more time for the things I cherish, art, nature, animals, and this exciting game of life....

and this sketchbook thing? like pissin' on a tree, it's about leaving my mark.

Your kind words had perfect timing...they brightened my day. Thank you! And by the way, love, love, love your sketchbook, too. Made me smile...warm fuzzies.

It's Jill Polsby in California. How in the heck did you find me or the portrait of Carol Marine!? Small world this!! Wish you lived closer because the master of watercolor portrait work is coming to Southern California again in May. I bring in Ted Nuttall every year for a week long workshop. Come on out and enjoy our beautiful weather!! Or else look up Ted and take a class from him closer to home. Thank you for your kind words!!

Thank you for your kind comments! I understand your difficulty in mailing your sketchbook - it was so hard for me to let mine go. I can't wait to see more of your work.

Hi Annie...your work is lovely! I'm like you--I generally need to look at something to draw/paint it. If you lived close to me, I think we would be friends!

Mailed my sketchbook the day before it was due! Pasted in some photos at the end which wasn't totally a nice thing to do but it was that or trash it. It's not really a 'sketchy' book but it is a book, and my first one at that. Take a look when it's posted. I feel like I've given away my first child.

Have no fear, your creativity is bubbling inside, just start with those pages. Congrats on your computer. Now starts the three f's ... fun frustration and fear. The fun of what you can discover, the frustration of losing it and the fear of never learning the damn thing. But it does happen cheers to you rosieb
