Bea Mornau

I was born in Argentina in 1964.

I belong to an european family who spread out all around the world after the war. Some relatives chose this country as expecting to reach a new beginning. And those members of my family carried inside a piece of history, threaded by remembrances, colours, lullabys and photographs that were kept in spite of the war disasters.

Living in the exile could not sweep away the value of these stories, and they are my heritage today. I am the variety of different accents.

My life based upon those facts, melts in different colours.

Being mindful in my childhood, keeping fragments of strange lives that lived in remote places, nowadays my eyes are transformed absorving the nature, embracing tiny portions of beauty to be represented on a canvas.

I have been an artist since the very beginning. Unavoidable vocation, it is my mission.

I paint so that those things we forget and do not notice may be visible.

So that colour and light may be rescued.

So that life may not be silent.

Naci en Buenos Aires, Argentina en 1964.

Provengo de una familia europea diseminada por el mundo luego de la guerra. Parte de ella eligio este paìs como esperanza de un nuevo comienzo.

Y cada uno de los integrantes de mi familia trajo consigo un pedazo de historia, tejida de retazos de recuerdos, colores, canciones de cuna o alguna fotografia que no se perdio en los desastres de tanta guerra.

El valor de estas historias, salvadas por ser lo unico que no podian borrar tantos exilios, son mi herencia.

Soy la suma variada de muchos acentos.

El oido atento de la infancia, que atesoraba fragmentos de vidas ajenas vividas en lugares para mi inexplorados, se transforma hoy en ojos que se impregnan de naturaleza, infimas porciones de belleza que rescato para llevar al lienzo.

Artista desde siempre.

Vocacion ineludible, como mision.

Pinto para salvar del olvido, para hacer visible lo que dejamos de mirar. Para rescatar color y luz.

Para no callar la vida.
