I create art because I'm driven to put down in visual terms the way I see life. I hope to connect with people by sharing the way I experience the world. I want to give my art emotion. I’m constantly striving to improve my self-taught techniques to better achieve the conceptualized idea and have it realized in my art. My favorite medium in two-dimensional art is oil paints for its blending qualities. I enjoy the versatility with which I can convey complex structures and emotions with oil paints. From subtle to bold, oil paints meet my artistic needs.

		Joanne Lindahl almost 3 years hi cindy, this little painting of yours is very thoughtful, not only because of the chair and lampshade, but because of the theme you used in the title. makes me think of the long lonely country nights sitting out on the porch waiting for that someone to show up i haven't seen for awhile, and my anxiousness to see them again, keeps me looking down the driveway or the road until they arrive. i can write a book about your painting, its full of emotion and just the right colors to give it a very sincere meaning. like it alot.
