Elly Wright over 2 yearsHello Gloria, Thank you for your comment. Yes we have had more snow than usual, but probably not much if compared to you. Apparently even the sketchbook show in Brooklyn had to be postponed last Friday due to SNOW. I've not been able to work a lot, but hope to resume shortly as I am getting very frustrated ! It's the old work ethic nagging me. Life sometimes just takes over in other areas. Best wishes, Elly |

Malinda Jasper over 2 yearsHi gloria, thank you for you comment on my Jester cat. My cats would have a fit if I were to put any kind of costume on them. I will respect their wishes and not put them through it no matter how tempting:-) So, to answer your question, I came up with that one on my own. I hope to see more animal portraits by you. Thank you for accepting my friendship. xo |

Elly Wright over 2 yearsThanks very much for your comment. I like your aqua and orange - the looseness of the background and then the tighter imagery in front. Beautiful. |

Lisa Skyheart Marshall over 2 yearswell, Peggi Kroll-Roberts was all about the figure, but Loose figure, and I work tight, so I thought that would shake me up a bit, because she really gets down to basic shapes and lights and darks. I love how loosely she works and yet it reads right. However, the oil turps unfortunately added to my weeklong bout with a migraine headache, so that was a bummer. Donna Howell-Sickles is just so into the basic drawing, and I am sort of into that myself; it's really the basis for what I do after the imagination part; I have to work it out in a drawing. Again, that workshop was an emphasis on the figure. The great thing about Donna was that she had us work really LARGE, and I work very small, so that shook up my world there. Sherrie we also drew a lot of short timed, quickdraw figure work. Also some longer work. Worked only in conte pencil and charcoal. It was the first time I had ever been in a workshop where we actually ate lunch together outside at SAS, and went out for a goodbye get-together after the workshop; an intimate group, it was nice, and supportive. Of course after doing all of those workshops, I began to know the models, Ha!!

Nancy Martini over 2 yearsThanks... I look forward to seeing what you do with the color project. I'm still on the fence deciding if I want to do that one yet. |
