Sandra D. Mckinney-Hu

Sandra Mckinney-Humphrey is a native Wasintonian who migrated to Maryland. She has been studying the traditional tecniques of painting and sculpture for many years. Her works uniquely reflect places and times in her life experiences. Sandra will begin her work with with a clear vision of what she wants to express then spontaneity takes over favoring oils and bronze. In pursuit of higher education Sandra holds a Master of Arts in Mental Health, a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology-Anthropology, and an Associates of Fine Arts in Art Studies. She has particpated in exhibitions at The Marlboro Gallery, Monpelier Cultural Arts Center, The Prince George's Artist Association, National Capitol Parks and Planning Commission, and VSA arts all in Maryland. She has also displayed at the Touchstone Gallery in Washington D.C. Sandra has won numerous awards for her works. As an emerging artist, Sandra continues to create and encourage others to share in visual experiences that are uplifting, stimulating and thought provokking.
