Aine Scannell
United Kingdom ainescannell.blogspot.comI come from Cork which is on the southern coast of Ireland. Its actually avery beautiful coastline. I lived in Europe for a few years and then settled in London as it really appealed to me. I eventually got round to studying art once I could no longer stand the many "no brain required" kinds of jobs that I had like working in a telephone factory, dellicatessen..... oh and then there was the chocolate factory.I moved up to Scotland a couple of years ago.
I love making stuff and playing around with ideas and images. Imagination is really importabt to me.

Emily Kirby about 3 yearsthanks :) yeah, i draw a lot of inspiration from people. Personality and state of mind are very interesting to me... everyone sees the world in a unique way... and every person is unique.. i try and create that through facial expression. i'm not sure how successful i am! :P I very much enjoy your work and your use of color, texture, and composition. Your pieces caught my attention right away. |

anne risum over 3 yearsThankyou Aine, I also like this painting very much, it is from a stay in Portugal in the winter where we had the beach all for ourselves and drew spirals allover. Today I hold a reception for a new exhibition and a woman wrote me she would come and buy this today, I really hope as it is the next months rent.... |

Matthias Kern over 3 yearsHi Aine, no, I am a printmaker, I do mostly etchings, litho's and woodblock and sometime monoprints. But I also do acrylics and watercolors. What kind of books are you creating? I would love to see some. I just checked out your blog, and I will bookmark it! |
