Angela Lizak

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where I studied animation & film, video, new media.  It was there during my daily commute into the city that I began to notice urban influence within culture and contrast it to a “suburban” identity. My work has questioned motives of influence, both positive and negative, the media, crime, and street law.

I currently am experimenting with collage, while still taking interest in local Chicago history and events that have influenced my upbringing as well as my work.  I would like to make art of all kinds approachable and available for all.  My current goal is to represent artists’ and art in alternative ways and spaces.
