Born in Santurce, Puerto Rico.  Since she was 7 years old, drawing was her passion.  She studied printmaking, painting, photography, and graphic design at the Hartford Art School, University of Hartford.  Graduated in 1990, earning a Bachelor in Fine Arts degree with a major in Printmaking and was awarded the major in Graphic Design.  Ms. Ason became a freelancer in graphic design and illustration from 1991 to 1996.   In 1996 moved from Hartford, Connecticut to Miami, Florida.  For 7 years she worked in the banking field.  In 2003 she earned a Masters in Business Administration at the University of Miami.  To date, she works at the City of Miami.   In the beginning of 2009, she started to experiment with a new medium using a color scanner.  She started by scanning collages of leaves, flowers, and seeds.  Soon she started to include her face and/or her hands as part of the collage, thereby creating a direction for her art.  The new medium has allowed her to fuse her sense of imagery and color in a magical way.

Amazing work! Your profile pic reminds me of an Alphonse Mucha painting. Is he an inspiration of yours?
