Colleen Tully

I am an emerging artist from Denver Colorado. I have my Bachelors in Fine Arts, and I am planning on receiving my masters in the fine arts as well. I have exhibited in many different exhibitions, and have been involved in different projects and competitions. I paint and sculpt, but my favorable means of art is drawing; most people can’t even consider drawing as a means of contemporary art, but in recent years drawing has exploded into a complex variety of different drawing tools, and has questioned the functionality of expressing ideas through drawing. The city I live in has become an inspiring interlude in my life as an artist. Denver has developed into a more complex genre of different kinds of arts and art organizations as well as art and artists alike.   It is difficult trying to become an artist in this contemporary world and most likely the chance will never reveal itself, but what we really can do is try to aspire to be.
