I admire how he lived his art... it's very inspiring.  I have to say that I spend a lot of time on art and my 6 year old says, "Why do you always do art mommy?" It kinda rips me to the heart.  But there was a time when all I did was mommy stuff.  Now that my kids are old enough to do a lot for themselves... I've gotten involved in the art community again.  I didn't want to wake up at age 45 and say--where did my life go... why didn't I do what I loved?

Of course I've heard of Ray! I'm actually housing a gal named Gina Lotta Post at my house next week who knew a lot of the original correspondence school gang... and talked with RJ on the phone and sent him stuff.  She wrote a book that he liked and sold to people.  Anyway her real name is Ginny Lloyd.  We plan to do a mail art performance piece at the show.  It should be a real neat event... crossing fingers, holding breath, etc.
