My name is Donata. I love art in the most conceptual form. I love when a piece of art makes you think, change your mind about something. I love it even more when it makes you feel something you haven’t felt before. I love ideas: to me they are like legal mind expanding substances that lead you to other universes. I believe in magic combined with realism and in whatever makes me feel part of something big and beautiful. I like to experiment with different mediums. I enjoy moving the boundaries of my brain more than anything else.

Donata, No I didn't make it to the opening - I am about as far from Brooklyn as you are.  I hope to make it to the local gallery next summer when it comes out here (San Francisco)  Should be very interesting - I have a big list of books to look at.

Donata, thanks for your nice comment!!  Very interesting project - always fun to think of random results of any action - I hope the winds of the butterfly blow in a favorable direction for you.

Thank you Sheri. I really appreciate your comment. Your work has a very special brightness. The idea of transforming tough reality into something positive is very powerful.

Writing is my first love and I’m so glad is back into my life.

I read on your bio you are writing your second novel. Good luck with it.

I think the sketchbook project is amazing. The work is wonderful and it’s good to meet interesting and talented people like you.

I love your bio and your work.  I am always drawn to the expression of positive ideas that spring from observation of tough reality.  True beauty is the strength of the human spirit to smile, not blindly, but knowing that life is glorious even in the midst of adversity.

I enjoy the way you combine images and writing in your work.  I too am a writer, and in fact I've been spending most of my creative energy pursuing that craft for the last couple years.  I think you have important ideas and observations, and I thank you for sharing them with the world.

Thanks for your comment on my 'Yellow Submarine' piece.  I loved making it.  It took me on a personal journey through the ups and downs of my life, and gave me a feeling of joy as I saw how far I have come and how truly beautiful the people, surroundings and circumstances of my life are.  I'm glad that you felt some of the happiness!
