I am a big kid who likes to play with glitter and textures that are soft to touch. I like to sprinkle some of my fairy dust over my creations to transform them from everyday objects into fairytale dreams. As a child, I adored making things, even from snow that sparkled like diamonds: so as I embarked upon my wonderland escapade I created a majestic snow chair which I relished sitting upon until I was sternly told that I would get very poorly if I sat there any longer! However, I felt like a princess and for that one day I owned my own snowy white kingdom with glittered jewels that were so abundant that I could walk upon them and marvel at the surrounding magical splendour from the comfort (or not so comfy) of my home-made throne! Since that day, the course of life and academia took over and being creative was left unnurtured until I change my career and decided to participate on a feltmaking course….. The time had come to blow away the leaves and unearth my creative self with spring-like enthusiasm in my fairytale forest, which I would like to share with you…..

Hello fairy jen, thankyou so much for your lovely comments. It's nice to meet you, I am doing lines and grids but haven't started yet! I'll look forward to seeing your work too.

Thanks for your message.  I think we all need to have some thinking time before delving into our books.  I've gone with the theme "beyond the surface".  It must be a popular one as it's no longer on the list and has been replaced with other interesting subject

I will be starting in August some time and will share my pages on my blog and flickr when I get round to it.  I just need to finish off a few things first, such as my quilt for FOQ, then I can concentrate on my pages

Good luck with yours.  Hope you enjoy the project
