melissa maddonni ha

melissa maddonni haims is a mixed media artist based in philadelphia. after many years of traveling and almost 10 years living and working in new york city, where she shoed in galleries in chelsea and soho, she planted her roots in a dynamic and creative community called chestnut hill, in the northwest corner of philadelphia. as a mixed media artist she explores alternative materials, such as fabric and textiles of all sorts. many of her collage pieces included knitted elements and found objects from nature. she is actively showing her work in local galleries and exhibitions in the philadelphia area independently and with the northwest artist collective. ms. haims was recently invited to join the highwire gallery in fishtown; a co-operative art gallery in philadelphia for over 20 years.
