I am a painter living and working in Brooklyn, NY. I graduated from CUNY Hunter College with my MFA, and I am a member of the adjunct faculty at Fordham University in the Bronx. My recent paintings deal with issues of light and color to create active visual realms. My work is rooted in the abstract sublime, and I owe a great deal to the New York School, 5o's and 60's abstraction, more recently David Row, David Reed, Mary Heilman, and Bill Jensen, Tomma Abts, and as always Monet, Bonnard and Matisse.
I am working more from nature and intuition, thinking less, working more directly with the mediums and allowing process to influence content.
