Laara WilliamSen Painter Artist Statement I am moved to transform my interior emotions, visions and my gathering of experiences onto the canvas.  I work in the moment and usually with my fingertips.  I have created both work that I intended to be uplifting and also confrontational with the intention of affecting social change.  But once I have completed a painting, the viewer may gather what they wish to from it as I believe the painting once finished has a life of it's own. Parallel to her painting career, Laara has educated in the arts at various schools, colleges, universities and from her own studio.  She has developed, written and taught forty five creative development courses of study to thousands of students during the past thirty years. Collectors in Canada, the U.S.A., Germany, The British Isles, Mexico and Thailand enjoy Laara's abstract expressionistic paintings!
