Elizabeth Ness

As mixed-media artist and computer geek, I illustrate the stories of my life via photography, acrylics, collage, and drawings (sometimes with and sometimes without my computer). While most of my stories investigate love, optimism, and personal beliefs, others focus on sorrow, regret, and worry for things I cannot change or control. Some of the stories are pure fiction and arrive from quirky notions, such as: What if the moon watched over me? Then, there are the short stories; single moments captured: A distinct mood, the beauty of a flower, a rusty car sun-bathing in the desert. Meandering or short, each story reflects what it is to be alive and human. Yet, each one seems incomplete until shared. To me, the story's development is informed by the experiences of those observing the art. Therefore, it is in connecting with others that my stories reach their full potential.
