Katherine Liontas-War about 3 yearsThank you for that great compliment. I really like your photography . They remind me of Andrew Wyeth too. Look at his watercolors/egg tempera paintings of interior scenes, especially the Helga series. You should turn these photos into drawings and use your mark making from your other drawings. The textures and lines would be so beautiful and still keep retain an abstract composition. |

Melody Leary about 3 yearsThank you Michael. I appreciate that someone took the time to look. I'm new to this web thing and wasn't sure how it would work. Turns out it's a great way to connect with other artists. I love your drawings - especially the one of the seated man - lots of great energy and line work. I'm newly retired (from teaching art for 35 years) so I do have the luxury of working in my studio full time. Your chance will come. Keep up the great work. Melody |

J. KOSHAREK about 3 yearsHello ! Thanks for your comment! I like your work--especially the cards for your children... I'm horrible at doing things like that. Tommy will be 11 tomorrow and I've been totally avoiding all forms of presents/cards, etc. Perhaps I have a birthday phobia! Anyway, keep up the good work and open up the tubes of paint... you might just love it! |

Jack Bryan over 3 yearsI love to experiment with all kinds of surfaces and methods of applying marks. I was disappointed with the flatness of regular acrylics and put together a palette of minimal colors using Golden fluid acrylics for beginning students. I can do tons of glazes in one session and attack the surface like a jazz musician. It is totally fun, exciting, and allows so many creative possibilities. You would love the media. My advice is to keep the lids on those thick and flat acrylics. |
