I am very interested in community and how people respond to art; how it makes them feel, think, react and even change. I produce art on many different levels. As an Art Director, I help companies focus on their brand and help them project the type of image they need in order to attract the type of clients they want. In my paintings I think about how environmental issues effect me, my family and the community.  My art is how I function, communicate and relate to others. Learn more about my upcycled work by visiting my studio at youtube.com/theecoartist. I am very interesting in sharing ideas with other artist. My work has always been about the people I meet and ideas that we have shared. I look forward to your comments...

Hi Nancy,  Thanks for your comment. Your sketchbook is interesting and done so well!  We were there - Orange Beach, Alabama on our way to Perdido Key. We saw part of the cleanup and devastation, it was really an eye opening experience. Take care ! I will be at the DC exhibit and will post photos/via facebook or here somehow.

Hi Nancy,

Hope all is well with you...it's been a long time.  Since they changed things a bit here, haven't been on too much, but did finish up the sketchbook 2011...so back on track again!  have fun in the art world!

Hi Nancy, I tried to answer your questions in a comment here, but kept getting an error. Probably my comment was too long, LOL. I followed the Net trail of crumbs and found your email. Sent my musings that way. Hope it is OK.

Hi Nancy,  YES I did do a sketchbook. I have to wait as it will be digitalized by the nice people at arthouse co-op.  I enjoyed the project so very much, and thank you.

Thank you for your comment and friendship, Nancy! I should have clicked on that friendship button myself long time ago because I have been watching your book developing and admiring it for a few months now. Good to finally connect!

Thanks for your comments on my sketchbook. Yes, I used colored pencil. It worked the best for me with the paper provided. Here in NJ it is a snowy winter. I'm thinking of you in FL. : )

You were pondering turning your images into paintings. Yes, I think you should! Or maybe a book; perhaps for children. I would be surprised if a publisher doesn't approach you. I belong to the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators. Some of your work would fit right in and there is annual conference/exhibit which would be a great venue if you do the paintings. Hi, Nancy! Thanks for asking about my work... all my images are digitally done using Adobe Illustrator and some Photoshop. I take images from royalty free sites and other images I find online (that have no copyright stuff attached) and use them as backgrounds then digitally alter them. The main character parts (or ships and stuff in these) are freehand (or sometimes generally traced, like the fish shapes).
