Nicola, hi, viewed your submissions today, wnen are you going to visit mine?  its been over two weeks and i'm still waiting to get the 10,000 packet in the mail, will be my first and am a little anxious to get started.  i'm glad i came across this site, looks fantastic and very active.  i'm alittle impatient right now, so have been sending comments out to those who looked into my portfolio.  should be working but instead i'm fooling around.

Look at Lauri Lipton's drawings.  They are magnificent in technique and subject matter.  Google her name and you should be able to find her website.  My students go crazy over her drawings.  I do too.  She sees skeletons instead of monsters.
