Some people say that you shouldn't dwell on the past. They say that the present is more important and focusing on what is happening right now is the best way to live. But I think the past informs the present, and where we have been and what we have seen are just as important as what is happening now. My memories tend to come back in snapshots, like little pieces of a moment trapped in time. More than places, I remember people. People who I cannot imagine my life without, and people who I'd rather forget. People I've never met, and those who are my closest confidants. I believe everyone I meet has something to teach me, and my memories of such people influence the art I create. my name is erin. im currently an art student studying sculpture and art history. I work with traditional materials such as wood & clay as well as found objects and mixed media. I don't stay in once place for long.
