Hi Pareidolia, Happy New Year! Your sketches look fabulous! I know it was hard starting so late, but were you able to finish?

Wassup pareidolia. Well, the all-nighter went okay. I had to tapout at 3am though. Only trouble is, my hand can never keep up with my imagination. Idea's come to me so fast and so often, I can never get it all down on paper quick enough.  However I did finished up the book today and mailed it express. It's suppose to arrive in atlanta around noon tomrrow.

I'm still kickin' myself for procrastinating on this project though. It could've been so much better if I had'nt waited til the last minute. I also would'nt have used my tombow brush markers. I just wanted to work with the outside of my comfort zone. I've got a long way to go before I get the hang of those markers.  I also would've used reference. Instead of drawing from my imagination. But hey, it's done. I hope you finish yours. :)

Hey thanks pareidolia!! Have you finished your book and mailed it in yet? I'm going to be up all night finishing the last six pages of this thing. I'm going to mail it tomorrow morning for sure. This reminds me of highschool. Staying up all night to finish a term paper. I made this project much harder than it had to be. I should've taken the slow but steady approach... a page a day.

Your very welcome pareidolia! And thank you! :) Yeah, I know what cha' mean. I had high hopes for this project. I wanted to fill both sides of all 40 pages. That would've been awesome in my opinion. I love to see a sketchbook filled to the brim with goodies. Those are the type of books I never want to put down. They always seem to poses a streak of magic. Looking inside the mind of another artist is just cool! :) But I'm running out of time. So, i've decided to simplify my approach. Using only one side of the page and the least amount of detail possible. At this point I just want to finish and have it in the mail by th 21st. I wish you luck with finishing yours. Please keep posting as you complete your pages. I'd like to see more of your work. We can get to the finish line just everybody else. :)

You've got some great sketches here pareidolia! And a nice portfolio as well.  How many pages do you have left in your sketchbook? I've got 32, if I only draw on one side of the page. I started out using both sides. But time is running out. It is harder then I thought it would be for me. Being a perfectionist has made even harder.

Thanks for you comments. I like you sketchbook theme and what you have started while you wait for your sketchbook to arrive. Funny how it seems to take forever for the sketchbook to arrive once you commit to doing one. I started my a few weeks ago and tried to do a sketch a day. It is a lot of pages to fill in a short time, especially with the holidays coming up.
