I'm really attracted to George Dickie's "institutional theory of art;" have been ever since I first learned about it (I even have Dickie's autograph!). However, that doesn't necessarily mean my work can be considered "art."  The jury's still out on that  . . . I am also a fan of Collingwood's "The Principles of Art."  The notion of art as imaginative creation and the theory of expressive imagination speak to me.  Maybe I am an artist?
