I am a mixed media artist and tutor living in St Ives, Cornwall where I have a Studio Gallery open to the public. My work often features applied papers and ephemera with richly textured surfaces and a subtle colour palette. I am constantly exploring new techniques and surfaces to work on and am passionate about sketchbooks. Is my work inspired by living in an artists' colony and in a house on the very edge of the sea?..... probably!

		maureenjeavans 3 months I live in Stafford, in the Midlands. A very good friend lives in Penzance, but I don't often manage to see her. Wales is our preferred seaside from here - Aberdovey is a lovely place.
