Silvia Nena is the author of two Young Adult novels and a Children's book, of which she is also the illustrator. She won an honorary award for the short fiction piece, "The Nautilus Shell" in the 78th Annual Writer's Digest Short Story Writing Contest (2009). Silvia is a Certified Fitness Nutrition Coach and a contributing columnist for San Pedro Today Magazine. She contributes wellness articles to other publications, including LiveStrong.com. Silvia also works with special needs children. Her hobbies include cooking, photography, hiking and being outdoors. She lives in the Los Angeles area with her husband and two children.
