Yurika Chiba

I was born in Japan and grew up in Toronto surrounded by art and music. I love natural and crafted materials and am inspired by bringing out their inherent features.  I love to reuse paper in new ways, and look at objects with honesty and playfulness. I like to mull things over.  And I like to find rhythm in creating. I currently reside in the Bay area, and play taiko when not making things out of paper.
